Places to visit in Italy

Rome

Rome is considered one of the most marvelous cities in the world. It has so much art and so much history. And it has magnificent places to visit such as The Borghese Museum, The pantheon, The Colosseum, The Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel, The Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and so much more. If you are in a rush, then you are able to visit the main sites in a day but ideally, it would take at least three days to experience true Rome and what it has offered to the world.

Florence

This is one of the must places to visit in Italy. Florence is considered the capital of art of not just Italy but of the whole world. Also you can see the beauty of Florence to the fullest only if you climb numerous towers of the city. You can see World’s famous David statue that was made by Michelangelo. Not only that, you will also be able to climb the Duomo and tour the Uffizi Gallery. Also you can stroll cross Ponte Vecchio and finally you can watch the sunset over Florence from Piazzale Michelangelo. You can enjoy Florence to the fullest if you can spend at least two days there. But if you are in a hurry, then you can speed through the best places in Florence in a single day.

Milan

Milan has lots of very interesting places such as the infamous Leonardo da Vinci’s “Last Supper” painting,  world class museums, Duomo di cathedral and many more. Also there are a lot of trendy shopping areas too. This city is worth going to at least for a couple of hours since it’s going through an architectural renaissance. Milan would be a nice day trip if you are traveling between Florence and Vince. It would take at least one whole day to enjoy the beauty of Milan to the fullest.

Venice

This is a favorite place to visit to a lot of people since it’s so romantic and gorgeous with so much history. This is a small and compact place that can be explored within a couple of days. You can take a gondola ride throughout the city, see St. Mark’s Square, visit the Doges’ palace and Saint Mark’s Basilica. Also you can wander along the canals and walk across the Rialto Bridge. It would take one day at least to experience Venice in a good way. Spending 2 or 3 days would make the experience memorable for a lifetime.

Tower of Pisa

 If you want to take a funny and awesome photo with the leaning tower of Pisa, this is the only real place you can do it. But this place is worth visiting only if you are already has plans to be in the area. Pisa tower is worth a quick stop if you are travelling from Cinque Terre to Florence. It will take about two hours tops to pose for a photo with other tons of travelers and climb up the tower. But make sure to climb the tower only if you are not afraid of heights and also can manage vertigo.

Siena

Siena is very similar to Florence but it’s smaller and quieter than Florence. This is a town that you cannot, not fall in love with. To be more precise, Siena is a hill town in Tuscany but some people falls in love with it more than Florence for lots of reasons. It’s very easy to visit Siena from Tuscany or Florence as a day trip. But if you have more time, it is so much better to at least spend the night there to truly enjoy the wonders of Siena. You can see cobblestoned streets, visit the Siena Cathedral, spend time in II Campo and even overlook Siena from Torre Del Mangia.
